California Amber Alert: 2 children abducted from Cathedral City


          A California Amber Alert has been issued for 1-year-old Jayden Cortez and 2-year-old Carlos Cortez after they were abducted from Cathedral City in Riverside County, officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened at about 6:44 p.m. PT on Thursday when Jayden and Carlos were in the backseat of a vehicle that was stolen in Cathedral City. Other details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released.

The identity of the suspect was not immediately known, but the stolen vehicle in which the children were taken is a 2016 white Honda Accord with California license plate number 7TJR654. All windows on the vehicle are tinted.

Anyone who sees either Jayden, Carlos, or the stolen vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Cathedral City Police Department if you have any other information that could help investigators
