Missouri Amber Alert: Syncere Valliant abducted from Independence

A Missouri Amber Alert has been issued for 9-month-old Syncere Lee Valliant after she was allegedly abducted from Independence by a 31-year-old man identified as Robert T. Valliant. Anyone with information is urged to call 911. (more)

The incident happened at about 10;45 a.m. on Tuesday when Syncere was abducted from 17007 E. U.S. 24 Highway 7 in Independence. The suspect, Robert Valliant, is believed to be armed with a firearm, according to the Independence Police Department.

Details about the specific circumstances of the abduction were not immediately disclosed, and the amber alert did not specify whether Robert is the child's father.

Robert and the child are believed to be traveling in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am with Missouri license plate DL3V3F. The vehicle was originally red but has been black spray painted. It is unknown where the suspect may be taking the child.

Anyone who sees either the suspect, the child or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Independence Police Department at (816) 836-3600 if you have other information that could assist investigators.
