LAPD releases surveillance video of Carnell Snell

Los Angeles Police have released surveillance video depicting an fatal officer-involved shooting. The footage captured the suspect, who appeared to be holding a gun. Posted to the LADP's Youtube Channel, the video shows a man crouched behind an SUV. He pulls a handgun from his waistband, but puts it back in his pants before getting up and running around a strip mall. According to Police Chief Charlie Beck, officers pursued Carnell Snell on foot. But Snell allegedly turned towards officers with the gun in his hand, provoking them to fire.
