In Paris, speculation is growing that the Kardashian jewel heist gang may have had inside help. The Police have labeled the concierge at the center of the case a "critical witness." Kardashian was robbed of over ten million dollars in jewelry from a private apartment complex in Paris's posh eight district. The claim comes as speculation grows that the robbers, who apparently knew their way into and around the apartment, must have had inside help on the heist job.
TMZ reporting sources connected to the case say police and the Kardashian family believe Monday's robbery was that of an inside job. They believe the robbers were tipped off at the right time. Kanye West has canceled and rescheduled two tour dates in light of the incident. Meanwhile, Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld is questioning Kim Kardashian's security arrangements.
Armed robbers forced their way into a private Paris residence where Kim Kardashian West was staying, tied her up and locked her in a bathroom before making off with more than $10 million worth of jewelry, police officials said Monday. A spokeswoman for Kardashian West said the reality TV star, who was in Paris attending fashion week shows, was badly shaken but physically unharmed. Police said she left Paris Monday morning a few hours after the incident took place. A Paris police official said five assailants, who were still at large, stole a jewelry box containing valuables worth 6 million euros ($6.7 million) as well as a ring worth 4 million euros ($4.5 million.)
