Florida Amber Alert: Lee Parrish abducted from Fort Lauderdale

A Florida Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Lee Parrish after he was allegedly abducted from Fort Lauderdale by a man identified as William Rogers. Anyone who sees them is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday when Rogers drove the boyfriend of the child's mother to the Valero Gas Station at 2400 W. Sunrise Boulevard in Ft. Lauderdale. When the child's mother's boyfriend went to pump gas into the vehicle, Rogers drove off.
Rogers knew that Lee was inside the vehicle and sleeping in the back seat, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. Details about a possible motive for the abduction were not immediately released by authorities.
The suspect and the child are traveling in a 2013 maroon or brown Ford Fusion with Florida license plate GYXL63. They were last seen driving southbound on Northwest 24 Avenue, but it is unknown where Rogers might be taking the child.
Rogers is described as a 27-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 265 pounds. It was not immediately disclosed what relationship, if any, the suspect has to the child.
Lee is described as a 3-year-old black male with black hair and brown eyes, standing 2 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 30 pounds. He was last seen barefoot with blue boxer shorts and a green and gray striped hoody shirt with writing on it.
Anyone who sees either the child, the suspect or the vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Broward County Sheriff's Office at 954-476-4731 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
