Indiana Amber Alert: 15-year-old girl abducted from Gary

An Indiana Amber Alert has been issued for 15-year-old Chastinea Reeves after she was reportedly abducted from the City of Gary in Lake County. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened on Monday when Chastinea was reported to have been abducted in Gary, which is about 30 miles south of Chicago. Details about the exact circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released.

Chastinea is described as a 15-year-old black female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing approximately 130 pounds. She was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and black jeans.

"The child was last seen Monday, February 13, 2017 in Gary, Indiana and is believed to be in extreme danger," Indiana State Police said in a brief press statement. It provided no information about a possible suspect.

Anyone who sees Chastinea is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Gary Police Department at 1-888-58AMBER (582-6237) if you have any other information that could help investigators in their search for the child.
