North Carolina Amber Alert: Bailey Queen abducted from Candler

A North Carolina Amber Alert has been issued for 8-year-old Bailey Queen after she was allegedly abducted from Candler by a relative, officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened on Tuesday when Bailey was taken from Candler, but specific details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released. The child and the suspect were last seen driving on Asbury Acres Drive in Candler.

The suspect has been identified as Joshua Queen, a 32-year-old white male who is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 210 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and jeans. The exact nature of his relationship to Bailey was not immediately disclosed by authorities.

Photos of Bailey and Joshua were not available at the time of publication. Bailey is described as an 8-year-old white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 4 feet tall and weighing 50 pounds. She was last seen wearing white and orange clothing.

Joshua and Bailey are believed to be traveling in a gold 2003 Toyota Corolla with North Carolina license plate YPX7062. It is unknown where they may be heading.

Anyone who sees either Joshua, Bailey, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office at 828-250-6670 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
