Ruby was last seen in Guntersville in Marshall County on Friday, but specific details about the circumstances of her disappearance were not immediately made public. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency issued an Emergency Missing Child Alert on Saturday afternoon.
The Guntersville Police Department has described Ruby as "endangered" though they have not provided further information. Ruby is described as a 14-year-old white female with brown hair and green eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.
Anyone who sees Ruby or knows her whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Guntersville Police Department at (256) 571-7571 if you have any other information that could help investigators found her.
The Alabama Emergency Missing Child Alert was introduced in 2015 to allow authorities to alert the public to missing children who are believed to be in imminent danger. It is one step below an AMBER Alert, which can only be issued when there is specific evidence of an abduction.
