The incident happened at about 8:54 a.m. on Friday when 24-year-old Asia Jarvis is alleged to have taken the children from the area of 1100 Carrington Crescent in Portsmouth. Asia does not have custody of her children.

According to the Portsmouth Police Department, Asia has made threats to shoot both her children if the father does not provide her with money. It is unclear if she is armed and, if so, what kind of weapon she is armed with.

Asia may have taken the children in a black Jeep Patriot with unknown license plate.

Asia is described as a 24-year-old black female with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 215 pounds. Messiah is a 1-year-old black male with braided brown hair and brown eyes while Dominique is a 5-year-old black male with braided brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who sees Asia or the children is urged to call 911 immediately.
