Georgia Amber Alert: 12-year-old girl abducted from Atlanta

A Georgia Amber Alert (Levi's Call) has been issued for 12-year-old Arasely Jimenes-Vasquez after she was abducted from Atlanta by a man identified as Armando Aquilar. Anyone with information is urged to call 911. (more)

The incident happened at around 10 p.m. on Monday when Arasely was taken from the 2700 block of Dearwood Drive in southwest Atlanta. Details about the exact circumstances of her disappearance were not immediately released.

Arasely is believed to have been taken by 32-year-old Armando Aquilar, though details about their relationship - if any - have not been disclosed. Aquilar and the victim may be traveling in a white 2009 Ford Econoline van with Georgia license plate QFD5854.

Arasely is described as a 12-year-old Hispanic female with short black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. Aquilar is described as a 32-year-old man with short black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

Anyone who sees Arasely, Aquilar, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Atlanta Police Department at 404-546-4260 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
