Man wanted for child sexual assault at Arlington National Cemetery

An unidentified man is being sought in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a child during Memorial Day events at Arlington National Cemetery, officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call the FBI. (more)

The incident happened at about 11 a.m. ET on Memorial Day when a Wreath Laying Ceremony was taking place at the cemetery, according to a bulletin issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. A photo of the suspect was released on Wednesday.

According to investigators, the suspect and a female child were standing in a crowd at the Arlington National Cemetery while the ceremony was taking place. "The unidentified male repeatedly inappropriately touched the minor victim, whom he did not know," the FBI said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between the ages of 50 and 60 with short, spikey, grey and black hair, standing 5 feet 5 to 5 feet 7 tall. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a blue or grey short-sleeved shirt and dark blue shorts.
