Playwright and actor Sam Shepard dies at 73

Playwright, director, and actor Sam Shepard has died. Shepard died of complications from ALS, He died at his home in Kentucky Shepard wrote more than 40 plays, and won the Pulitzer Prize for drama for Buried Child in 1979. Shepard was also nominated for an Academy Award in 1983
