Indiana Amber Alert: Young girl abducted from Fort Wayne

An Indiana Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Adayah Bratton after she was allegedly abducted from Fort Wayne, local authorities say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened at about 2:10 a.m. on Thursday when Adayah was taken from Fort Wayne, though specific details about her abduction were not immediately released. "[She] is believed to be in extreme danger," the Indiana State Police said.

The suspect has been identified as her father, Channing Scott, who is described as a 46-year-old black male with black dreadlocks and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a dark red shirt, gray sweatpants, and black and white gym shoes.

Scott is believed to have taken his daughter in a red 2011 Hyundai Accent with Indiana license plate VKZ918. It is unknown where they may be heading.

Adayah is described as a 2-year-old black female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 2 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 40 pounds.

Anyone who sees Adayah, Scott, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 888-582-6237 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
