2 women stabbed at AMC Courthouse Plaza 8 in Arlington, Virginia

Two women have been stabbed during an altercation outside the AMC Theaters in the Courthouse neighborhood of Arlington, local officials say. A woman was taken into custody but only few details were released. (more)





The incident began at around 5:45 p.m. ET on Saturday when emergency services were called to reports of "active violence" at AMC Courthouse Plaza 8, which is located at 2150 Clarendon Boulevard in the Courthouse neighborhood.

First responders arrived at the scene and located two female victims with multiple stab wounds in the parking lot. Both victims were rushed to an area hospital, where there was no immediate word on their condition.

Just after 6 p.m., authorities confirmed that the scene had been secured. Police said a woman - whose identity was not immediately released - was arrested in connection with the stabbings. She was taken into custody with the help of citizens at the scene.

Other details about the circumstances of the stabbings were not immediately available.
