North Carolina Amber Alert: Rylee Watson abducted from Lenoir

A North Carolina Amber Alert has been issued for 2-year-old Rylee Watson after she was allegedly abducted from Lenoir in Caldwell County, state officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened earlier on Wednesday when Rylee was allegedly taken from Jason Place in Lenoir, though specific details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released by authorities.

The suspect has been identified as Zachary Watson, who is believed to have taken Rylee in a black 2014 Toyota Tundra with North Carolina license plate EKT-5702. The vehicle has a broken out rear window and they may be traveling eastbound towards Mooresville or Wilkesboro.

Zachary is believed to be the child's father, though authorities did not immediately confirm that.

Zachary is described as a 31-year-old white male with brown hair and green eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has a tattoo of a cross on his left arm and a tattoo on his right arm which shows a sun and stars along with the word "Ayden".

Rylee is described as a 2-year-old white female with blonde hair, standing 18 inches tall and weighing about 30 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink striped dress and pink light up sketcher shoes. A photo of Rylee was not immediately available.

Anyone who sees either Zachary, Rylee, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Lenoir Police Department immediately at (828) 757-2100 if you have any other infromation that could help investigators.
