Texas Amber Alert: Aiden Jones abducted from Del Rio

A Texas Amber Alert has been issued for 22-month-old Aiden Jones after he was allegedly abducted from Del Rio in Val Verde County, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened earlier on Thursday when Aiden was allegedly taken from Del Rio, but specific details were not immediately released. "Law enforcement officials believe this child to be in grave or immediate danger," the amber alert said.

The suspect has been identified as Daniel Jones, who is believed to have taken the child in a gray 1998 Chevrolet Silverado with a Texas temporary license plate number. Daniel is believed to be the child's father, though authorities have not specifically confirmed that.

Daniel is described as a 48-year-old white, bald male with blue eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing about 270 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black Star Wars shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.

Aiden is described as a 22-month-old white male, standing 24 inches tall and weighing about 25 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white baseball shirt with blue sleeves, camo shorts, and shoes, according to the Del Rio Police Department.

Anyone who sees either Aiden, Daniel, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Del Rio Police Department at 830-774-8591 if you have any other information that could help investigators find them.
