Mississippi Amber Alert: 12-year-old girl abducted from Pearl

A Mississippi Amber Alert has been issued for 12-year-old Chryslance Nicole Walters after she was allegedly abducted from Pearl in Rankin County, local officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)





The incident happened on early Tuesday morning when Chryslance was allegedly taken from the 800 block of Sweetgum Street in Pearl, though specific details were not immediately released. The suspect was identified as 42-year-old Johnny Jones.

Jones is believed to have taken Chryslance in a black 2006 Chrysler 300 bearing Mississippi license plate number RGT 700. They were last seen on Highway 468 traveling toward Interstate 20, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.

Jones is described as a 42-year-old black male who is six feel tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and dark blue jeans. Chryslance is described as a 12-year-old black female with short, black hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.

The nature of Jones' relationship with the child, if any, was not immediately disclosed.

Anyone who sees either Chryslance, Jones, or the suspect vehicle is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation at 855-642-5378 if you have any other information that could help investigators in their search.
