1 Million March for Independence in Spain’s Catalonia

Up to 1 million people gathered in Barcelona on Monday to call for independence of the Spanish region of Catalonia, which has called a referendum for October 1 despite fierce opposition from Madrid, which has declared the proposed vote illegal.
