Tennessee Amber Alert: Russell Roysden abducted from Wartburg

A Tennessee Amber Alert has been issued for 3-month-old Russel Joe Roysden after he was allegedly abducted from Wartburg by his non-custodial father, officials say. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (more)

The incident happened at about 10 a.m. ET on Wednesday when Russell was allegedly taken from his home in Wartburg, although specific details about the circumstances of the abduction were not immediately released. The suspect was identified as 56-year-old Jerry Alan Roysden.

The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said Jerry has an "extensive violent criminal history" and an arrest warrant for kidnapping has been issued. He is described as a 56-year-old white male with hazel eyes and brown hair, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 170 pounds.

The victim, Russell, is described as a 3-month-old white male with blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 2 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 12 pounds. It is unknown where Jerry might be taking the child or how they are traveling.

Anyone who sees Russell or Jerry is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) at 1-800-TBI-FIND if you have any other information that could possibly help investigators.
