The incident happened at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday when the children were allegedly taken from Albertville. The children's mother lost custody of them earlier this year and, as a result, they were placed into the custody of a relative.

The suspect has been identified as Kristine Galaviz, who is described as a 26-year-old white female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. It is unknown where she may be taking the children.

The children have been identified as 5-year-old Katelyn Marie Kitchen, 7-year-old Timothy Gene Kitchens, and 8-year-old Darren Marcus Cribbs. All children are described as white. Both Darren and Timothy have brown hair and brown eyes; Katelyn has blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone who sees either the mother or any of the children is urged to call 911 immediately, or call the Marshall County Sheriff's Office at (256) 582-2034 if you have any other information that could help investigators.
