A man has been arrested after a woman was killed at a home on Rensselaer Road in Orlando, local officials say. A second woman was stabbed and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The incident happened at about 10:53 p.m. ET on Monday when Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call for assistance in the 14100 block of Rensselaer Road, which is located off Lake Pickett Road and close to the University of Central Florida.

"Further investigation revealed a white female victim was stabbed and another white female victim had fatal injuries," said Lt. Ashley Strange, a spokeswoman for the Orange County Sheriff's Office. "A white male suspect is in custody and the investigation is ongoing."

The injured woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Lt. Strange said the incident appears to be domestic related, but specific details were not immediately disclosed. Authorities did not immediately confirm whether the woman who was killed had also been stabbed.

The identities of the victim and the suspect have not yet been released.
