              'Initiatives' are continuing on negotiations between Greece and the European Union in an attempt to reach a last-minute deal on a bailout, a Greek government official has told Reuters. Greece is due to pay the International Monetary Fund (IMF) a €1.55 billion ($1.73 billion) tranche today and, with no definitive deal in sight, a default seems almost inevitable.
