              Greek police have fired stun grenades in clashes with dozens of protesters in central Athens, witnesses have told the Reuters news agency. The scuffles began as a rally got underway in support of a 'No' vote in Sunday's referendum. Loud bangs were heard on live video feeds from the area, but the situation appeared to return to calm within a few minutes.

              The solar-powered plane Solar Impulse has safely landed in Hawaii after a nearly 5-day flight from the Japanese city of Nagoya, breaking the non-stop solo flight record.  2 yrs | Referendum poll shows Greeks divided over bailout, ‘no’ leads by just 0.5 percent

              Greeks are divided whether to approve or reject bailout terms proposed by the EU and the International Monetary Fund, according to a poll released by the I Avgi newspaper. The results of the poll, which was carried out between Tuesday and Thursday, showed that 42.5 percent are in favor of the bailout, while 43 percent is against. Nine percent said they were still undecided and 3.5 percent said they did not intent to vote.

              Max Clifford, who was one of Britain's best known celebrity publicists, has been charged with one count of indecent assault that he allegedly committed in 1981, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Details about the allegation were not immediately released, but Scotland Yard added that the incident involved a woman aged over 16. Clifford was last year sentenced to eight years following his conviction for eight sex assaults on young girls and women. He will appear in court on July 21.

              The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), Greece’s largest creditor, says it has decided not to request immediate repayment of €144.6 billion ($160.4 billion) in debt, instead opting to reserve its rights and act at a later time.               Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has urged citizens "to say no to ultimatums, blackmail and fear," saying that Greece's membership of the euro is not being judged in Sunday's referendum. "Greek citizens, the time has come for responsibility and democracy. Let's silence fear-mongering and baseless talk of disaster," Tsipras said in a televised statement. "Let us calmly go to the polls and make our choice by weighing the arguments - not the slogans." He added that Thursday's IMF report supported the government's stance, saying that the country's debt is not sustainable.

 2 yrs | Dutch man who entered TV studios to demand airtime sentenced to 15 months

              A 20-year-old man who entered the studios of Dutch news broadcaster NOS in January to demand to be put on television has been sentenced to 15 months in prison, plus a suspended sentence of another 15 months, the court says. Tarik Z. was found guilty of hostage-taking, making threats, and possession of a weapon for entering the NOS studios while carrying what later turned out to be a fake gun. The incident happened moments before the 8 p.m. broadcast, forcing the channel to go off air until Tarik Z. was arrested by police. The sentence was lower because video of the incident was broadcast around the world without Tarik Z.'s face being made unrecognizable.

              U.S.-led forces have carried out another 24 airstrikes against Islamic State (ISIS) targets in Iraq and Syria, the Combined Joint Task Force reports. Six of the airstrikes struck ISIS fighting positions and equipment near Al Hasakah in northeastern Syria, while airstrikes in Iraq were spread out over a large area, with strikes targeting ISIS near Mosul, Bayji, Fallujah, SInjar, Tal Afar and other cities. "The Coalition maintains pressure on Daesh across the battlespace," said Brig. Gen. Thomas Weidley, the coalition's chief of staff. [full statement attached]
