              Tunisia has so far identified 27 tourists who were killed Friday when a gunman opened fire at a beach resort in Sousse, the health ministry says. A statement listed the nationalities of the victims as 19 Britons, 3 Irish, two Germans, and one each from Belgium, Portugal and Russia. A total of 38 people were killed, plus the attacker.

              The plane that crashed in a residential area of the Indonesian city of Medan was carrying 113 people, including 12 crew members, Air Force spokesman Dwi Badarmanto told the Reuters news agency. Previous reports had put the number of people on board the aircraft at about 50.

              The number of bodies recovered after a military transport plane crashed into a residential area of the Indonesian city of Medan has risen to at least 50, the local news website Tribunnews is reporting. Many of the bodies were charred, making it unclear whether they had been on board the aircraft or civilians on the ground. Medan Mayor Dzulmi Eldin told Tribunnews that at least two people were still trapped at the crash site and rescue efforts were continuing.

              At least 37 bodies have been recovered after a military plane crashed in a residential area of the Indonesian city of Medan, North Sumatra police chief Eko Hadi Sutedjo has told the Associated Press. He also told AP that the aircraft, according to its manifest, was carrying a total of 50 people and appears to have encountered engine trouble shortly after take-off. The Indonesian newspaper Kompas adds that additional casualties are still at the crash site.

              The number of people who were injured when a car bomb exploded behind a military hospital in the Yemeni capital Sana'a on late Monday has risen to at least 35, including women and children, the Houthi-controlled Saba news agency reports, citing security sources. The blast, which reportedly targeted mourners of a previous attack, also damaged a number of homes and vehicles.

              The United Nations Security Council has issued a statement condemning "in the strongest terms" the "cowardly assassination" of Egypt's public prosecutor, Hisham Barakat.
