One of nearly 300 Nigerian schoolgirls who were abducted by the Islamist group Boko Haram nearly three years ago has been found alive, along with a six-month-old baby who was born during the mother's captivity.

At least nine people have been killed after two suicide bombers, a 10-year-old girl and an elderly woman, blew themselves up as worshippers gathered to mark the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday in northeastern Nigeria, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) reports. The explosions happened at a security checkpoint for an open-air praying area in the town of Damaturu in Yobe State, killing nine people and the two suicide bombers, and injuring at least 18 others.
At least twelve civilians and a Chadian soldier have been killed in two suicide bombings near a special forces camp in the town of Fotokol in northern Cameroon, a senior military officer has told the Reuters news agency. The first attack took place at a bar close to the camp while the second explosion happened behind the camp, which is close to the border with Nigeria. Both explosions, which happened just a few minutes apart, are believed to have been carried out by suicide bombers.
