 2 yrs | Tropical depression forms over the Atlantic, forecast to strengthen

              A tropical depression has formed over the east-central tropical Atlantic and is expected to gradually strengthen over the next few days, possibly reaching hurricane strength by Friday as it makes its way towards the Caribbean, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) reports. Tropical Storm Four is currently about 1,665 miles (2,675 kilometers) east of the Windward Islands with maximum sustained winds near 35 miles (55 kilometers) per hour, with higher gusts. The system, which is expected to become a tropical storm later today, could be approaching the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean by Monday, according to the center's 5-day forecast track..
