 1 yr | Missouri Amber Alert: Blase and Rycker Crockett abducted in St. Louis

              A Missouri Amber Alert has been issued for 3-year-old Blase Crockett and 2-year-old Rycker Crockett after they were abducted from St. Louis City by 34-year-old Diata Crockett, who is accused of killing his infant son. Anyone with information is urged to call 911 immediately. (UPDATE BELOW)

              The Danforth University Center at Washington University in St. Louis has been put on lockdown after a shooting near the Mallinckrodt Center, injuring at least one person. It does not appear to be an active shooter situation. (more)

 2 yrs | Extreme Weather: Coast Guard shuts down Mississippi River near St. Louis

              A 5-mile long section of the Mississippi River has been shut down on Tuesday by the U.S. Coast Guard. According to the agency, hazardous conditions caused by rising river levels in Missouri have led to the decision. Centered near St. Louis, that portion of the river has been closed off to all vessel traffic.

              A Missouri Amber Alert has been issued for 1-year-old Dyland Rosa after he and his mother, 23-year-old Diana Berrios-Pimentel, were abducted in St. Louis by two males who have made unknown demands. (for an update to this story, click here)

 2 yrs | St. Louis police officer kills armed suspect, protesters gather

              A suspect has been shot and killed in north St. Louis after allegedly pointing a gun at officers. It happened in the front yard of a multifamily residence in the 1200 block of Walton Avenue when officers were attempting to serve a warrant. Two suspects attempted to flee the scene during which one of them pointed a gun at an officer, prompting the officer to open fire, said Sam Dotson, the chief of the Metropolitan Police Department. A St. Louis Post-Dispatch journalist reported seeing a woman in handcuffs at the scene, but it is unclear if she was the second suspect. The newspaper said about 50 people gathered at the scene after the shooting, including about a dozen people who were holding signs that read: "We must stop killing each other."
