Saudi Arabia beheads drug trafficker in 104th execution so far this year


          A man convicted of drug trafficking has been decapitated by sword in Saudi Arabia, the kingdom's government reports, marking the second execution after a pause in beheadings for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. The latest prisoner to be executed was identified as Saif al-Hadissane, a man who had previously been convicted of smuggling a large quantity of hashish. He was executed in the eastern region of Al-Ahsa, the interior ministry said in a statement. At least 104 people have been executed so far this year, up significantly from 87 in 2014 and 79 in 2013.
