At least six people were shot, three fatally, when gunfire erupted at a home in Annapolis, Maryland, according to local officials. One person – described as a “person of interest” – was taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The incident happened at around 8 p.m. on Sunday when officers were called for a shooting with multiple victims at a home in the 1000 block of Paddington Place, a quiet neighborhood in Annapolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police Chief Ed Jackson said 6 men were shot, including 3 people who died of their injuries. The victims range in age from early 20s to early 50s and all were known to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s unusual for Annapolis,” Jackson said. “We don’t get very many calls of this nature in this area.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There was no immediate word on the exact circumstances of Sunday’s shooting, which Jackson described as stemming from an “interpersonal dispute.” He said the shooting involved an exchange of gunfire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A person of interest was taken into custody and a weapon was recovered, but no charges were filed as of late Sunday night. There’s no immediate danger to the public, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
