{"id":55973,"date":"2025-06-23T18:48:58","date_gmt":"2025-06-23T22:48:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bnonews.com\/?p=55973"},"modified":"2025-06-23T19:00:00","modified_gmt":"2025-06-23T23:00:00","slug":"trump-announces-ceasefire-agreement-between-israel-and-iran-to-end-12-day-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bnonews.com\/index.php\/2025\/06\/trump-announces-ceasefire-agreement-between-israel-and-iran-to-end-12-day-war\/","title":{"rendered":"Trump announces ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran to end 12-day war"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>UPDATE: A senior Iranian official has confirmed to Reuters and Al Arabiya that an agreement has been reached to end the war between Iran and Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Iran have agreed to a \u201ccomplete and total ceasefire,\u201d set to take effect within six hours and lasting for 24 hours, after which the conflict will officially be declared over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a social media post on Monday, Trump said the agreement includes an initial 12-hour ceasefire period initiated by Iran, followed by a corresponding 12-hour period initiated by Israel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUpon the 24th Hour,\u201d Trump said, \u201can Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World.\u201d He praised both countries for their \u201cStamina, Courage, and Intelligence\u201d in agreeing to end a war \u201cthat could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The announcement follows nearly two weeks of escalating violence between Israel and Iran, marked by exchanges of airstrikes and missile attacks that left more than 900 dead in Iran and 25 in Israel, along with thousands injured on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then U.S. then joined by launching airstrikes on Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. In response, Iran fired missiles on Monday toward Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, where American forces are stationed.
