The complaints identified several scholarships allegedly restricted to undocumented or DACA-eligible students. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These include the University of Louisville\u2019s Sagar Patagundi Scholarship, the University of Nebraska Omaha\u2019s Dreamer\u2019s Pathway Scholarship, the University of Miami\u2019s U Dreamers Program, the University of Michigan\u2019s Dreamer Scholarship, and Western Michigan University\u2019s DACA\/Undocumented Scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to national origin concerns, the department said it will examine other scholarships at the universities that may be exclusionary on the basis of race or color. Examples include the University of Louisville\u2019s Dawn Wilson Scholarship for \u201cLGBTQ+ students of color,\u201d the University of Nebraska Omaha\u2019s HDR Scholarship, which gives preference to \u201cunderrepresented minority students,\u201d and Western Michigan University\u2019s Elissa Gatlin Endowed Scholarship for African American, Native American, or Hispanic American students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
