Cracker Barrel announced that it will drop its new logo after widespread criticism and will keep its classic branding, including the \u201cOld Timer\u201d figure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The decision came a day after Cracker Barrel issued a statement<\/a> acknowledging it \u201ccould\u2019ve done a better job.\u201d The company added on Monday, \u201cWe know we won\u2019t always get everything right the first time, but we\u2019ll keep testing, learning, and listening to our guests and employees.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The now-scrapped logo had removed the illustration of Uncle Herschel in favor of a simplified text-only design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n President Donald Trump weighed in on the controversy Tuesday, saying<\/a> the company \u201cshould go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump added that Cracker Barrel had gained \u201ca Billion Dollars worth of free publicity\u201d and should capitalize on it with a major news conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel.
