Actor and comedian Pat Finn, best known for his roles on The Middle, Seinfeld, and numerous film and television projects, has died after battling cancer, according to his family. He was 60.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finn died Monday evening at his home in Los Angeles while surrounded by family, according to family sources cited by TMZ<\/a>. His family said he had been battling cancer for several years, though they did not specify the type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, family, and friends, we share the heartbreaking news of the death of Pat Finn. Pat bravely battled cancer over the past few years,\u201d his family said in a statement. \u201cIn Pat\u2019s final days, he often showed the biggest signs when the Bears scored a touchdown. No pressure Bears \u2014 just saying \u2014 do it for Pat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finn\u2019s daughter, Cassidy Finn, posted a tribute following his death. \u201cDad\u2026 you were and are a role model and an inspiration to everyone you met,\u201d she wrote<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve never met a single person who had a bad thing to say about my dad. I feel like the luckiest person in the world that I got to call you my dad.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added, \u201cMy life is forever changed because of him. He taught me to be funny, positive, humble, to listen, to always try my best, to love, and to surround myself with the best people. But most importantly\u2014you taught me kindness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finn built a long career in television and film, appearing in dozens of shows and movies over several decades. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was widely recognized for his recurring role as Bill Norwood on ABC\u2019s The Middle and for guest appearances on series including Friends, Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
