statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe Cure said Bamonte, also known as \u201cTeddy,\u201d looked after the band from 1984 through 1989 and became a full-time member in 1990. The band said he played guitar, six-string bass and keyboard on the Wish, Wild Mood Swings, Bloodflowers, Acoustic Hits and The Cure albums, and performed more than 400 shows over 14 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The band said Bamonte rejoined The Cure in 2022 and played another 90 shows, culminating with the \u201cShow of a Lost World\u201d concert in London on November 1, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Cure is an English post-punk rock group led by singer-guitarist Robert Smith, known for a decades-long career spanning multiple eras and lineups, according to Encyclopaedia Britannica. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
