Tatiana Schlossberg, a journalist and granddaughter of President John F. Kennedy, has died after a battle with leukemia. She was 34.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur beautiful Tatiana passed away this morning. She will always be in our hearts,\u201d the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library Foundation said in a social media post<\/a> on Tuesday. The message was signed by family members, including George, Edwin, and Josephine Moran, and Ed, Caroline, Jack, Rose, and Rory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a separate tribute, journalist and Kennedy family member Maria Shriver described Schlossberg as a devoted journalist, mother, and fighter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTatiana loved life. She loved her life, and she fought like hell to try to save it,\u201d Shriver wrote. \u201cShe was valiant, strong, courageous.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shriver said Schlossberg \u201cwas a great journalist, and she used her words to educate others about the earth and how to save it,\u201d and wrote that she \u201ccreated a beautiful life with her extraordinary husband George, and children Eddie and Josie.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schlossberg, the daughter of Caroline Kennedy, publicly documented her illness in an essay published in The New Yorker on Nov. 22. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the piece<\/a>, she wrote that she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia after giving birth in May 2024, describing the discovery of a rare mutation known as Inversion 3 and reflecting on memory, mortality, and motherhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Sometimes I trick myself into thinking I\u2019ll remember this forever, I\u2019ll remember this when I\u2019m dead. Obviously, I won\u2019t. But since I don\u2019t know what death is like and there\u2019s no one to tell me what comes after it, I\u2019ll keep pretending,” Schlossberg wrote. “I will keep trying to remember.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
