President Trump repeated that he plans to sue Trevor Noah over comments made at the Grammy Awards about Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speaking to reporters at the White House on Monday, Trump was asked whether he intended to sue Noah. \u201cYeah, well, he said that I spent time on Jeffrey Epstein\u2019s island,\u201d Trump said<\/a>. \u201cI had nothing to do with that. I had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump criticized Noah\u2019s performance as host of the Grammy Awards, saying, \u201cI think he did a terrible job at the Grammys. I think the whole Grammys was terrible. I watched part of it. It was not watchable.\u201d He added, \u201cHe was a lousy host. I\u2019d say not as bad as Jimmy Kimmel, but pretty close.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The comments followed a joke Noah made as host of the ceremony, when he said, \u201cThat is a Grammy that every artist wants, almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein\u2019s island is gone. He needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Trump also addressed the issue in a social media post<\/a> late Sunday, calling the Grammy Awards \u201cthe worst\u201d and again denying any visit to Epstein\u2019s private island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNoah said, incorrectly, about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island,\u201d Trump wrote. \u201cI can\u2019t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n In the post, Trump said he plans to pursue legal action against Noah over the remarks, calling them false and defamatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For some context, here is what Trevor Noah said earlier tonight:
