Griffith said investigators believe the suspect and victims knew each other, and that police do not believe the shooting was random.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn the early part of the investigation, we feel confident in saying that this is a known suspect-victim connection,\u201d Griffith said. \u201cMeaning that if you live in that area, there\u2019s not some random crime occurring. We feel confident that the area is secured.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Griffith said additional officers were in the area after the shooting. He said detectives were following several leads, but no suspect has been reported in custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have seen an increase in violent crime in the last couple months. That\u2019s not what we want to see,\u201d Griffith said.
