They are alive,\u201d Adam Prince, public affairs director for Columbus Air Force Base, told <a href=\"https:\/\/cdispatch.com\/news\/cafb-pilots-safely-eject-from-t-38-over-west-alabama\/?brid=YWdncwEBx5TRUdqkZGuFwt0AD2e3\">The Dispatch<\/a>. \u201cWe are assessing their injury status if any.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Fayette County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Alabama told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvua23.com\/news\/2-air-force-pilots-safe-after-ejecting-from-crash-near-fayette-lamar-county-line\/article_08606851-583b-4b35-b443-e69c67cbde0c.html?brid=YWdncwHpwGSa1CanIeJgLYIwnHtr\">WVUA 23 News<\/a> that deputies were responding to the incident, but said it happened in Lamar County. No additional details were immediately released about where the aircraft came down or whether there was damage on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The T-38 Talon is a twin-engine, supersonic jet trainer used by the Air Force to train pilots for fighter and bomber aircraft.
