The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. on Sunday at Axmen Auto\/Recycling on Summit Lane near Wye, an unincorporated community northwest of Missoula, according to the Missoula Fire Department<\/a> and KPAX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A pile of cars ignited at the recycling yard, Axmen owner Guy Hanson told KPAX<\/a>. Officials told NBC Montana<\/a> that about 100 cars caught fire, and crews worked to move nearby vehicles to keep the fire from spreading.
