Two police officers were shot and a suspect was killed while officers were serving a search warrant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, according to city officials and local media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shooting happened at about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Florida Avenue, according to Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, who spoke to WPVI<\/a>. The officers were serving a search warrant at the time of the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Officials have not released the officers\u2019 conditions, but a high-ranking city official told NBC10<\/a> that both officers are expected to be OK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect was shot during the incident and later died, Small said. The suspect\u2019s identity has not been released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities have not released details about the search warrant, including what officers were looking for or what led them to the address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
