The body of a newborn was found in a portable restroom at the Electric Forest music festival in Michigan, according to state police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The neonate was found Sunday morning in the festival\u2019s camping area in Rothbury, a village in western Michigan, according to the Michigan State Police Sixth District<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The body was discovered by an employee of the portable restroom company during routine maintenance, police said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investigators have not released information about the baby\u2019s identity, how long the body may have been there or the circumstances surrounding the death. No arrests have been announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State police said the investigation remains ongoing. Investigators are asking anyone who was in the area and saw anything unusual, or who has information that may be relevant, to contact Michigan State Police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electric Forest is an annual electronic music festival. This year\u2019s event began Thursday and ended Sunday, with more than 100 acts on the lineup, including Galantis, Chris Lake, Illenium, Kaskade, Bob Moses and Shaquille O\u2019Neal performing as DJ Diesel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
