Jacksonville Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a>. Deputies found a 27-year-old woman and two young girls with gunshot wounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe victims were identified only as a 27-year-old Black woman and her two daughters, ages 4 and 2. The 4-year-old died at the scene, while the woman and the younger child were taken to hospitals with life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery, the sheriff\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sheriff’s office said the shooting happened during a dispute between the woman and 29-year-old Trudale Reed outside the home. Reed fired multiple rounds, striking the woman and both children, before leaving in a stolen SUV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Officials said Reed and the woman are the parents of the two children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Authorities identified Reed as the suspect and sent out a description of the vehicle. Deputies later located the SUV and stopped it using a vehicle block, taking Reed into custody. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sheriff’s office said the suspect was taken to a hospital with minor injuries before being booked into the Duval County Pre-Trial Detention Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspect is facing charges including second-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, auto theft, aggravated fleeing and eluding, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
