The agency said he rammed an ICE law enforcement vehicle, refused multiple verbal commands and used his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE officer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer then fired his weapon in self-defense, striking Araujo, according to ICE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Houston Fire Department said Araujo suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his abdomen and was taken to Ben Taub Hospital while CPR was in progress, KPRC reported. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three other people were detained, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/click2houston.com\/news\/local\/2026\/07\/07\/heavy-law-enforcement-presence-reported-in-east-houston-neighborhood\/\">KPRC<\/a>.
