She was 82 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fellow actor Perry Yung <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DasWx_4xqoB\/\">announced<\/a> her death on Sunday, saying Ho died peacefully after suffering a stroke two days earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWai Ching was a kind, compassionate human being whose work as an artist lifted every production to a higher standard, and we are better for it,\u201d Yung said. \u201cRest in power, dear friend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Born in Hong Kong, Ho built a career spanning theater, film and television. She became widely known for her role as Madame Gao, a mysterious and powerful crime boss who appeared in \u201cDaredevil,\u201d \u201cIron Fist\u201d and the crossover miniseries \u201cThe Defenders.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ho also voiced Grandma Wu in Pixar\u2019s \u201cTurning Red\u201d and appeared in films including \u201cThe Sorcerer\u2019s Apprentice,\u201d \u201cPremium Rush,\u201d \u201cTracers,\u201d \u201cHustlers\u201d and \u201cHigh Resolution.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her television credits included \u201cLaw &amp; Order,\u201d \u201cBlue Bloods,\u201d \u201cElementary,\u201d \u201cOrange Is the New Black\u201d and \u201cAwkwafina Is Nora from Queens.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Actor Peter Shinkoda, who appeared with Ho in \u201cDaredevil,\u201d paid tribute to her in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DarOSUxEa3d\/?img_index=1\">Instagram post<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI won\u2019t ever forget you,\u201d Shinkoda said. \u201cI learned every minute from you when we were together on and off set. We will meet again, my friend.
