The President will spend the weekend in Washington, DC. He has no scheduled public events.
On Monday morning, the President will deliver a speech to the National Academy of Sciences Annual Meeting in Washington, DC. In the afternoon, he will welcome the University of Connecticut’s women’s basketball team to the White House. In the evening, he will attend a reception with foreign finance and environmental ministers at the White House.
On Tuesday, the President will present the National Teacher of the Year award in the Rose Garden.
On Wednesday morning, the President will travel to Missouri to host a town hall. He will return to Washington, DC on the same day and hold a news conference in the East Room at the White House at 8:00PM EDT. Members of the media interested in attending must apply for credentials HERE. The deadline to apply is 12:00PM EDT on Monday, April 27th.
On Thursday, the President will participate in the kickoff of the Wounded Warrior Project's Soldier Ride, which raises public awareness of the challenges facing veterans as they recover from life-altering injuries. The kickoff will be here at the White House.
On Friday, the President will attend meetings at the White House.
