The Vice President will begin the day at 9:30 AM with a Recovery Act announcement the New Carrollton WMATA (Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority) Station. United States Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), Maryland Governor Martin O⿿Malley and Congresswoman Donna Edwards will join the Vice President at this event. This event is OPEN PRESS.
At 11 AM, the Vice President Biden will attend a Symposium celebrating the 15th Anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) at Georgetown University Law Center. The Vice President will be presented with The Legal Momentum Hero Award for initiating and championing the Violence Against Women Act. The Vice President will give remarks. This event is OPEN PRESS but RSVP is required. For more information, please contact the Georgetown University Law Center.
The Vice President will spend the remainder of the day in private meetings at the White House.
