Explosion at sports complex in Chimay, Belgium kills 1

One person has been killed and four others have been injured after a suspected gas explosion tore through the "Le Chalon" sports center in the town of Chimay in Belgium, officials say. There is no indication of terrorism. (more)
The incident happened just after 12 a.m. local time on Friday when a powerful explosion ripped through Plaine Chalon, which is a sports centre located along Rue de Chalon. A total of 5 people are believed to have been inside the complex.
Chimay is near the border with France and about 89 kilometers (55 miles) south of Brussels.
A spokesman for the emergency services told the Belga news agency that one person had been killed and four others were injured, two of them seriously. It does not appear that anyone else remains trapped in the building, which partially collapsed.
A law enforcement source told BNO News that initial indications pointed towards a gas explosion as a likely cause and the source emphasized that there is no information to suggest terrorism. Other details have not yet been released.
