Right to be forgotten
BNO News maintains a right to be forgotten policy. People whose names or faces were shown in articles may request to have identifying information removed or anonymized. Examples include people who were missing and suspects who were acquitted or never charged. Subjects may also request an editor’s note to inform readers about the outcome of a case.
Please note: This is a voluntary policy to help people whose lives may be affected by search results. BNO News is not legally required to remove information which was accurate at the time of publication. Requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do not charge any fees for this service.
To make a request, send an email to [email protected]. Include your name, a link to the article, the solution you’re requesting (removal or an editor’s note), and the reason for your request.
BNO News B.V. is incorporated in the Netherlands and registered by the Chamber of Commerce under nr. 17264724.
