Texas man arrested over bomb threats targeting Erika Kirk and Turning Point event

A 26-year-old Texas man has been arrested after allegedly posting bomb threats and death threats targeting Erika Kirk and a Turning Point USA event scheduled for next month in San Antonio, according to court records cited by KENS5.

Jacob Wenske was arrested on Tuesday and booked into the Bexar Adult Detention Center at 2:18 a.m. the next day, according to Bexar County jail records. He faces two counts of terroristic threat involving public fear, serious bodily injury, public service or influence of government.

The case stems from threats linked to Turning Point USA’s Women’s Leadership Summit, which is scheduled for June 5 through June 7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter in downtown San Antonio. Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, became CEO of Turning Point USA after her husband was assassinated during an event in Utah in September 2025.

According to an arrest affidavit cited by KENS5, the San Antonio Express-News published a Facebook post on April 12 promoting the summit and mentioning Erika Kirk’s planned visit. Investigators said Wenske commented on the post: “I know exactly where to bomb.”

Wenske later posted in the same comment thread, “I can’t wait to be the valet for her escort,” according to the affidavit. Investigators said Wenske had previously worked for a parking management company that provided valet services for hotels and special events.

Authorities said the comments signaled targeted violence and “are commonly interpreted as threats of mass-casualty violence,” according to KENS5. Investigators also said the valet comment could indicate surveillance or interest in entry points for the event.

Investigators later found a January 26 email allegedly sent by Wenske which said, “Death to Erika Kirk and every single speaker there!! America will live on without those scum on this earth. Every Christian nationalist shall perish in the bombing that will take place at every single Turning Point rally and event.”

The affidavit said investigators linked the Facebook profile to Wenske through subscriber records, a registered email address, a linked phone number and IP address information, according to KENS5.

Investigators also found repeated hostile and threatening posts across multiple public threads involving people affiliated with or supportive of Turning Point USA. The affidavit said Wenske also directly communicated with Turning Point USA and threatened death toward Erika Kirk.

Wenske is listed in jail records as a white male, 5 feet tall and 125 pounds, with bond information not immediately listed.
