2 police officers shot, suspect killed in Atlantic City, New Jersey
Two police officers were shot and a suspect was killed while officers were serving a search warrant in Atlantic City, New Jersey, according to city officials and local media.
The shooting happened at about 3 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Florida Avenue, according to Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, who spoke to WPVI. The officers were serving a search warrant at the time of the incident.
Officials have not released the officers’ conditions, but a high-ranking city official told NBC10 that both officers are expected to be OK.
The suspect was shot during the incident and later died, Small said. The suspect’s identity has not been released.
Authorities have not released details about the search warrant, including what officers were looking for or what led them to the address.
No other injuries have been reported. Details about the shooting have not been released.
